This page explains what data HEEP Grid accesses from a seller's connected Etsy shop, why, how it is stored, who it may be shared with, how long it is kept, and how a seller can disconnect their shop or request that their data be deleted.
What data we access
When a seller connects their Etsy shop to HEEP Grid, we access only the data needed to fulfill and ship that seller's own orders:
- Order and receipt details from Etsy (order ID, order date, and status).
- The buyer's name and shipping address, needed to ship the order.
- The line items on the order — the product, variation, and quantity purchased.
We do not access a seller's Etsy account credentials — access is granted through Etsy's own OAuth flow, which never shares a seller's password with HEEP Grid.
Why we use this data
This data is used only to run that seller's own fulfillment and shipping workflow on HEEP Grid: importing the order, routing it to fulfillment, generating a shipping label, and — once the order ships — sending the resulting carrier and tracking information back to Etsy on the seller's behalf.
How we store it
Order and shipping data is stored in HEEP Grid's own systems, access to which is restricted to the infrastructure and personnel that operate the fulfillment and shipping workflow. It is not stored anywhere outside of running that workflow.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum data needed with the shipping carrier used to ship a given order — the buyer's name and shipping address — so the carrier can deliver it. We do not sell this data to third parties, and we do not share one seller's Etsy data with any other seller.
How long we keep it
We keep order and shipping data for as long as a seller's Etsy shop remains connected to HEEP Grid, and for a limited period afterward where needed to resolve an open order, a shipping dispute, or a legal or accounting obligation. Once that period ends, the data is deleted or anonymized.
Disconnecting your Etsy shop
A seller can revoke HEEP Grid's access to their Etsy shop at any time, through Etsy's own "Your Account" page under connected apps. Once revoked, HEEP Grid can no longer read new orders from that shop.
Requesting data deletion
A seller can request that HEEP Grid delete their stored data by emailing privacy@heepgrid.com from the email address associated with their account. We will confirm the request and delete the data, except where we are required to keep records for a legal or accounting obligation.
